I feel like I'm getting to the point where my gouache plein air technique is on the level with my oil painting. I'm getting closer and closer to going full-on gouache for plein air only. After spending a whole week using only gouache for a plein air event, I'm finding less and less advantages of using oil for myself. My gouache is starting to really take on the best qualities of my oil paintings, which is pretty exciting for me.
