One of Vanessa's coworkers gave her this butterfly as a still-life prop, so naturally I had to steal the idea 😅Insects both lend themselves very well to gouache, and are very difficult to accomplish a painting of in gouache due to all the detail. But if you want a good medium to paint insects with, go with gouache!
