Because it's always threatening to storm here, I thought that I would try and prepare by packing my water-insoluble gouache. Though it never did end up storming while I was out, I did learn that you could have a successful outing with acrylic gouache en plein air. Just make ABSOLUTELY sure that you have your spray bottle to keep the paint wet! Unlike regular gouache, once it dries on your palette it's useless.
