I wasn't really trying to make it as abstract as it turned out at first, but I ended up really liking the direction it was going. I wanted to consolidate and simplify the shapes I saw to make them better as a painting. The skies were soooo beautiful today! The only time we get great clouds here in Sonoma County is after a storm, which isn't common enough. I think we're going to have a nice wet winter again. If you don't understand why that's great news, then you just haven't lived here long enough, if at all.
